Open outcry is a form of communication between sellers and buyers on a stock exchange through various hand signals which transfers information about the sale of shares.

New York Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the United States are some of the examples where buying and selling of shares takes through open outcry method. London Metal Exchange in the United Kingdom also uses this method.

* A demat account, this is the account through which you will manage your trading process.

* An online bank account which facilitates in easy transfer of money via internet.

We have seen that online share trading reduces a lot of hassles that was primarily involved with floor trading, but is it cost effective?

An informed investor must check various sites which provide this service for brokerage they charge and all other costs.

An investor must not only check for the brokerage rates, he must objectively weigh the cost of all other attached services that these online share trading companies provide and then make an intelligent decision.
